With years of experience of having led international school trips and some of our founders having worked in the field of education and child development NCT is very sensitive and mindful around the topic of child protection. Different schools and institutions have different operating protocols and policies regarding child-protection and here at NCT we prefer to get sensitised and oriented about specific protocols in such case.

A model of equitable benefit sharing with the community has a great potential in making responsible tourism an efficient tool for transforming community behaviour for an all-round common good. NCT by the virtue of its foundational ethics ensures that its partner communities benefit and do well with each dealing with NCT. With the idea of engaged visitation, NCT allows its clients to maximise the good that they can bring to any community. With one of the world’s highest diversity of ethnicities and cultures, Nepal is considered to be a culturally compassionate society where almost all animals are revered. However, a few exceptional cases of cruelty on animals in the form of traditions and fast increasing commercialisation of animal abuse are hindering the clean and compassionate image of Nepal. NCT not only advocates continued upgrading of Animal Welfare status in tourism practice but also actively encourages ethical alternatives to tourism activities that abuse animals in the name of entertainment and tourism.

NCT believes in the fair treatment of staff and team members,  and equality among all with any gender identity. Our vision is to pioneer the movement of ending unacceptable practices such as child labor, underpaid exploitation of ground staff and pay difference among different genders, which unfortunately is not uncommon in the practice of Tourism in Nepal as of today.

Enabling environmental protection through the market-based tool is the main idea behind NCT. All of our activities are fundamentally designed to aid environmental protection and conservation. Tourism like many other businesses contributes to the sheer pressure on the environmental components of both global and local concerns. Tourism practice, more than ever before, now needs to be mindful of and responsible towards the adverse impact it can have on the local environment. NCT adopts a do-no-harm policy whenever possible or exclusively uses compensational mechanisms to offset the adverse impact of its activities whenever complete avoidance is not possible.

Meaningful tourism and considerate exposure can bring in a lot of value to a cultural setting, however, practices indifferent to cultural sensitivities and vulnerabilities can have a detrimental impact. NCT has its own protocol created considering the local cultural sensitivities so that our clients can be sensitised about the cultural vulnerabilities and about possible positive and negative impacts they can have.
